SkEye Studios had been wanting to revolutionize the way video production companies shot narrated campus tour videos. With Carroll College, we felt that we were able to do just that. We made the Carroll College Narrated Campus Tour video into more than just a tour of the buildings. We produced the video as a window into the daily life of the Carroll College student. From night-time lapses, to hiking the Rocky Mountains at sunrise, and then of course experiencing life on-campus, this is your opportunity to join Jay and Sarah on a tour that will leave you wanting to visit Carroll College next week!
Over the past 3 weeks we have been working with Entrepreneur, Monica Gragg. Monica is a technology expert with a background in Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). This learning technology is what allows companies and universities to create fully functioning online courses that feature fun activities, interactive tests, and engaging video to allow for a nearly autonomous learning experience on a particular subject. Monica found SkEye Studios when looking for a production company to create her crowd-funding video for her new start-up, The Wine Learning Hub. While the internet is making information on all topics, including wine, readily available. With wine in particular there is no authority on the subject. Rather than learning about your favorite sauvignon-blanc from the self-proclaimed wine expert on a blog, the WineLearningHub will have content directly from the most the most experienced wine gurus out there. Using her background in LMS and MOOCs, Monica plans on teaming up with these wine professionals and wine makers to provide specialized courses, videos, and forums to make learning about wine fun and accessible to everyone wherever they are. Be sure to watch this short teaser we created from footage we gathered at Merry Cellars in Pullman, Washington. The full video to come next month.
SkEye Studios reached two milestone’s this weekend. The first milestone is that our company celebrated it’s One Year Anniversary on October 11. When asked about this achievement, Chris Kiefer said “It’s humbling how far we’ve come with the support of friends, family, and organizations that we’ve worked with. From the very beginning, the goal was to create a world class production company and although we are not there yet, I feel like we’ve come a long way in the past 12 months.” The second milestone is that SkEye Studios was just given the one of a kind opportunity this weekend to help promote an inspiring nationwide non-profit organization, “One to One Women Coaching Women.” Here’s a Sneak Preview of the promotional video that we are producing for their Coaching for Caregivers of Wounded Veterans program. One to One’s goal this year is to raise a million dollars and expand its services to a greater number of caregivers across the United States. The Full Feature is Coming Soon!
Allison Hutzell and her family have been long time family friends of the Kiefers. I use to actually go over the Hutzell’s house in Hillsboro when I was in first grade and play in the woods behind their house with her brothers – Alex and Evan. When she approached me 4 months ago and asked if I would be able to shoot her wedding, I cleared my calendar to make sure that I was able to take part in her special day. Allison and Chris have a very cute love story and so it wasn’t too hard to make this wedding story film for them. They were able to find a relatively new wedding venue in Molalla, OR. It was a quaint, rustic, and beautiful location for a wedding! Enjoy!
