SkEye Studios was founded in 2013 as a client-centered production company to create “videos with a purpose.” In the past three years, we have told the stories of small businesses, organizations, and schools. We are a team of enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative dreamers who are on a mission to change the world, one story at a time. Our company has doubled in size in the last six months. We are looking for someone who is excited to work in a startup-minded company and who has the drive and ambition to become the best in their industry. We are ambitious and a little crazy. We are located in the Portland metropolitan area in Hillsboro, Oregon. Position Summary
We are looking for a highly-motivated writer who has an appreciation for the creative field and has a witty sense of humor. Someone who has a passion for the written word and for making people laugh. The role will be to create and implement a plan for written content targeted towards small- and medium-sized businesses. You will work hand-in-hand with our team of creatives to write about solving problems for our clients and how to develop new, outside-the-box solutions. In addition to that, you will work closely with our creative director and graphic designer to effectively communicate our clients’ goals and objectives through their website and other deliverables. Our team is determined to be the number one purpose-driven creative agency on the west coast.
Responsibilities
- Write blog posts.
- Network and initiate contact with local businesses.
- Write copy for client websites.
- Infuse a touch of attitude and wittiness into the written voice on our website.
- Update and upload new photo and video content to the SkEye website (using WordPress).
- Engage social media fans with helpful and interesting content.
- Write and proofread proposals and contracts.
- Bring energy and excitement to the job.
Qualifications
- 2.5 GPA or above.
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills
- Substantial written portfolio and experience (i.e. short stories, blogging, novels).
- High level of organization and efficiency.
- Highly professional, strong communications skills and detail-oriented.
- Self-starter, but comfortable working as part of a creative team.
- Enjoy networking and forming business relations.
